So I have the 780i EVGA Motherboard. I've been running a single card until now. I have a second 8800GT to install. A question I think I should know....which slot do I use? The one closest to the other graphics card? Or the farthest away?

Or...does it matter?

Thanks for any help! I couldn't find it in the EVGA manual.

if your not going to sli them then it wont matter, as for sli then you have to put them on the top and bottom slot in order to fit the sli bride right. at least that how it was for my setup of the evga 780i sli board

Do you have a solid sli bridge or those flexible ribbons? If it's solid just see where the bridge connects to and pop your card into there. Though, I'm pretty sure you just use the first two.

Yup thanks guys. Yes the solid bridge pretty much made the decision for me. I should have tried that to begin with. It worked, unfornately the friggin card is a lemon. RMA.

Try again in a week.
