3500 Venice = what intel CPU

Depends on what you're doing, although I don't know of any intel cpu that's better in gaming, except maybe one that's been overclocked vs a stock 3500+.

I will mostly be doing gaming. Like Guild Wars Call of Duty BF 1942. and a few others

Well then a 3200 Venice is equivalent to Intel getting its ass kicked. Except on the stuff where CPU virtualization (hyperthreading) really helps, in which case oops. But if you're going to be doing that all the time, get an X2, they're awesome. It's like having two little San Diegos in your boxen working together. Well okay it is if you get that one that has 2x1mb cache, but if you're paying that much why would you save a small percentage in exchange for giving up the cache? Doesn't make sense.

i agree. the 4200+ is a worthless cpu, the 4400+ is a much better buy :D
