-using soundstorm(onboard nf7-s)
-nvidia 5.10 chipset driver set(audio driver version 4.42)
-windows xp pro sp2
now when i go to the nvidia systray audio prog, i select the speaker wizard, it plays sound individually in all 4 speakers perfectly. and it then sets my mode to 4 speaker mode in that app. so my connections are good, and i balanced the volume.
i then go into CS:S, set it to 4 speaker mode. do the audio test. but when the man says 'front left' it comes out of front left and rear left. when he says front right, it comes out of front right and rear right, etc etc. its basically in a 'clone' mod which i specifically told windows to turn off, and its still off when i get back to windows. i test the speakers again in windows, they all play individually. is this an issue with the current soundstorm driver and CS:S or what?
anyone know what i should try? no ones been able to help on the forums ive posted in.
