So is the VF1000 good enough? Is there anything better?

Based on a hunch, I would have to say the VF1000 has to be strong enough to cool this monster. That is, if you applied using ASC or MX-1, which is a must.

I ordered the Coolink GFXChilla for my new 4850 when I get it. Apparently its top dog. Brought the 4850 in to the 30 range for idle and 40s / low 50s for load.

The Zalman should be fine, although there is better out there.

Err, that review mentions that there wasn't enough room to install the heatsinks on some of the RAM. Fail.
