4870x2 bottlenecked by e6400?

Currently my e6400 is running at 3.2Ghz, paired off with 4870x2. Is my CPU a bottleneck for my GPU?
 
Well I had 4870x2 and it was fine with E8400, which was at 3.0 Ghz. But you'll get like 1fps gain in Crysis for every 100Mhz you overclock the E8400. I OC'd E8400 to 4.3 Ghz, i gaind 13 fps.
 
Er are you sure it works like that? 13fps gain in Crysis is huge. I'm pretty sure that CPU overclock won't boost framerate by more than 5-6 fps.

I guess it depens on resulation what fps you'll get. I played 1680x1050 which was a litle overkill by that time when X2 was new. Atleast i could maxout crysis, all very high, max ress : 43 avg fps, with 2xAA 39.50 avg fps ;)
 
Yeah, you're probably bottlenecked. I had a e8400 at 3.6 with my GTX 280 sli setup and there was a massive increase in some games going to an i7. A large set of games will of course offer little to no change, but Far Cry 2 gave an absolutely massive improvement.
