hey guys, i just got this card and installed it in one of my pare pc's (cuz i dont wana tear apart my water system to switch to a new card right now) but installed on my 2ndary, wit the latest nvidia drivers, my 7800GTX is only pulling 50,400 AM3 (all defaults)...
grx cards settings are set to high performance, Vsync is turned off, AA auto, AF auto, Nforce 4 drivers latest, basicly, everything i can think of to do ive done....

is there some issue with the 7800GTX GPU and windows 2000? has anyone else had this problem?
and if so or even if not, is anyone even running a 7800GTX in windows 2000???

let me know... cuz id like to get this figured out before i move this card over to my primary computer...

thanks all....

thats crazy, my 5950u w/3.3ghz P4 northwood scores 50,955

try reinstalling the drivers or changing drivers. Or reinstalling AM3. Something is definately wrong.

yea... ive already uninstalled and reinstalled all the drivers twice now...
im stumped to say the least...
my scores with current (obviously F'ed up) settings are AM3 = 50,400, 3Dmark 01 = 17,500, 3Dmark 03 = 15,300, 3Dmark 05 = 6990

so something is obviously wrong... i did already improve my AM3 socre by 6000 because i noticed my mem wasent running in dual channel mode (cuz last time changed two 512mb sticks of ram i just threw them in there), but outside of that... which was an easy/obvious fix... im freaking clueless...

Get yourself Coolbits or Rivatuner and make sure your 3D clock speeds are 460/1300.
Maybe you are running 3D apps at 275/1300 (2D clock speeds) for some reason.

clock speeds seem to be fine.... any other ideas before i get frustraited and wipe the system clean and reinstall just to set my mind at ease?

Are you installing the drivers correctly using Nasty File Remover or the like?
Also, make sure your CP settings for the 7800 are for application controlled and that you are using the default benchmark settings in Aquamark.
