I read on Anandtech's review of the 680i that it has the ability to boost the speed of the PCIe slots by up to 25% to increase performance of highend Geforce cards - IE 8800s. Does this mean that 8800s can handle higher clockspeeds on PCIe's - IE 120mhz?

My understanding of this feature is probably flawed so I hope someone will correct me.

Like you said all it does is overclock the HTT and PCIe bus speeds. It made my system unstable, so I just turned it off :)

My eVGA 680i HATED linkboost. I coudln't run it. The Striker Extreme loves it! I can now run it 24/7.
