Hi , I would like to know if it's normal that i only have 7008points in 3dmark 05

Ther is my system info :

Amd64 Sandiego 3700 + @ 2600Mhz
Ocz PC3200 2*512 2-3-3-5 1T
PSU modstream 520 watts
Evga 7800GTX ACS3 (470 / 1200 ) with the new nvidia driver
raptor 74gb 10 000rpm
....

Help me pls
oh and I OC my VC to 505 / 1415 and I got 74XX points

What's wrong !!! ?!? I see stock card with 77XX points !
 
I get 8300+ on my 7800GTX but i think other factors like RAM and CPU do play out a little bit.

7000 still is not bad. Your not the first I have seen to score in the 7K area.
 
is your driver set to High Quality, or High Performance? My guess is you are at HQ mode in the driver settings.

If so, slide it over to HPerformance (I think NVidia says Quality is the Benchmark position they publish).
 
Seems a little low to me. Try what Dgephri said and see if that helps.

 
Your score looks like 7800GT.
Are you sure it's a 7800GTX?

Suggestions:
1st try DriverClean.
or
Reinstall Windows.

Just make sure there are no traces from the drivers from the previous video card. I think a spyware scan and a virus scan would do you good also. Those are what I would try first.

 
Ok, I tried this :

I set cpu default clock (2200Mhz)
I set VC default clocl ( 470 / 1200 .. already OC )
I clean up my pc with adaware, Spysweeper, TrendMicro online virus scan.. ( 4 spyware detected.)
Check for old driver with driver Cleaner...
Set the latest driver from nvidia.com and try the 77.77 version..

There is my score with 77.77 = 6996points
There is my score with latest driver = 7008points..

I don'T understand.. yea indeed my cpu it's not a FX57 .. but anyway ..

Anything else pls ?
 
what resident Tray stuff do you leave running while you benchmark?

I always disable my LAN, so I can turn off my Sygate Firewall, then turn off AVG antivirus, then disable LCDC (my Matrix software), exit my audio control panel, etc.

Then to really top out and see if a resident proggy is responsible, Ctrl-Alt-Del to open Taskmanager, and be sure the only Windows stuff (some even go down to just a couple services) is still in the processes list.

If you had an Intel, that score would be indicative of a 7800GTX, but with that EDIT-A64 (not FX) CPU, you should be a bit higher.

Eliminate software, and see if you can bump it up.
 
Here we go ! 7800 points everything stock :D

I OC it to 500 / 1300 = 8600 points

Good Job! How hot does your vid card run at those settings (ie ones in your signature)?
