7900GTO to HD3850

Someone is interested in buying my current video card (7900GTO). How much of an upgrade can I expect going from the 7900 to the 3850 512? Is it worth it for ~50 bucks?

For 50 bucks, you won't be disappointed. I would personally make the jump to the 3870 for a few bucks more, but even the 3850 will be a big step up.

yea $50 the card is nice, even the 256m is faster then my 1900xtx 512m

most reviews I have seen on the 3850 indicate it can over clock almost all the way up to 3870 speeds... that being said for 50 bucks you will almost be able to run any game at max 1680X1050 except crysis....

In newer games, you should see the bigger improvements.
