I currently have a 320mb 8800GTS in the system in my sig. I'm doing my yearly upgrades around may/june and I had planned to snag a quad core processor, finally switch to vista, and get myself a TB of hard drive space. I was wondering however how much mileage my card still had left in it. I plan to stick with my 19" monitor for a while, so my resolutions won't go any higher than 1280x1024. If I did decide to get a new monitor, it would be a low 20" widescreen, in which case I was hoping I could get away with just picking up another gts cheap and running SLI on it. Anyone know how longer I'll be able to run things on my card with reasonably high settings before I hit wall?

i'd say your card has still some life ahead. i think a year or so

I wouldn't SLI the 320. You could probably just switch to a 9600GT or the like and save the hassle of SLI.
