I'm planning to buy a new video card. What would give me better gaming performance, a Geforce 9600GT 512MB or an ATI HD3850 512MB + 780G (mobo IGP) in hybrid crossfire?
From Tomshardware, I found this statement:
However, I'm not sure if the gains will be that significant on the more powerful HD3850. The 9600GT is faster than the HD3850 to begin with, I think, but I'm not sure if the 780G in hybrid crossfire would propel it ahead of the 9600GT or not.
From Tomshardware, I found this statement:
When the integrated HD3200 graphics unit is paired with a dedicated Radeon HD3450 to create a Crossfire configuration, graphics performance improved by an average of 65% across the benchmarks. Every single game in our test suite showed gains, ranging from 55% to 87%.
However, I'm not sure if the gains will be that significant on the more powerful HD3850. The 9600GT is faster than the HD3850 to begin with, I think, but I'm not sure if the 780G in hybrid crossfire would propel it ahead of the 9600GT or not.
