9800GTX Worthy Upgrade from 8800GT?

I have an EVGA 8800GT with a few days left on my Step-Up. I could upgrade to the 9800GTX for about $100, but is it worth it? The reviews I've read of the 9800GTX seem lukewarm at best. I game mostly at 1600x1200 and am planning on upgrading to a 24" in the next few months. I've been fairly happy with the 8800, but I'm not planning on upgrading again for a while so I'd like to get as much life out of this purchase as possible. Got to make sure Fallout 3 looks fantastic whenever it hits!

Gigabyte P965-DS3 v3.3
4GB Crucial Ballistix
Vista Ultimate x64

I wouldn't go for the 9800 GTX, it's definitely not $100 better. It overclocks really well, but the performance gains, IMO, are lost in the face of the gaming experience already provided by the GT. Also, I'm certain that by the time you consider purchasing that 24" monitor, something better will have or will be coming out.

you know... you could just buy another 8800gt....sell your mobo to someone and buy an sli board.

seems like a lot. but it will increase your performance.
