Dont remember the non 3D cards...

Voodoo Rush
Voodoo Banshee
Voodoo 5 5500
Geforce 3 Ti500
Radeon 1900xt
Radeon 800XT (returned after 3 days and got the 7800, hated this card)
Geforce 7800 GT
Geforce 8800 GTS
Geforce 260 GTX

Intel i740
GeForce 2 MX/MX400
GeForce 7800GTX
Quadro NVS 140M (got a laptop for university)

I remember my first CGA video card. It was AMAZING at the time. I remember the first cards I spent mucho doneros on. Matrox M3D and the Matrox Mystique for my Cyrix Pentium Killer then K6 CPU.... I wrote a review for my site for the Cyrix CPU, too, WAY BACK WHEN! I still have my dual Voodoo 2 card SLI setup. And the TNT1, TNT2 Ultra, GeForce256 up to the 4600, then ATI 9700 Pro.... And then up from there...

Lots of cards from an 8 bit ISA MGA card through GT200 and RV770, heavy on 3D cards from 1997-present.

The oldest video card I still have is an ATI EGA Wonder with TV out, vintage 1988.

Oh man, some memories...

Voodoo 1 4MB
Voodoo 2 8MB
2x SLI Voodoo2 12MB
Geforce 2 MX
Geforce 2 GTS
Geforce FX 5600 Ultra
Radeon 9600
Geforce 8600M (laptop)

...and that's where I stopped. The new cards, especially those coming in a few weeks, are some four generations ahead of the fastest card I've owned. Can't wait.

My 3DMark results probably start with the Voodoo 3 3000. I did run the Final Reality benchmark on my Voodoo 1 however.

Voodoo 3 3000 AGP 16MB
Geforce 256 DDR 32MB
Voodoo5 5500 AGP 64MB
Radeon 64MB DDR 64MB
Geforce 3 Ti500 64MB
Radeon 9700 Pro 128MB
Radeon X800XT 256MB
Geforce 8800GT 512MB
Radeon 4850 512MB

haha! This is great. I have waaay to many to list though since I've been around since the Apple IIe days from the early 1990's (yeah, they were all phased out by 1993 or so, I'm old).

So can I include my extended 80 column card from the mid-80s? :p

I wish I would have kept my IIe. :(

I had VooDoo cards as well.

Anyone remember the company "Canopus"?
They were great.

ATI Rage 128 Pro (Came with a 1.6ghz p4 system that dell accidently shipped along with my mom's new computer, nice upgrade from the 500mhz hand me down I was going to get)
Hercules 3D Prophet 4500 Kyro II (Uncle gave it to me)
Geforce 4 Ti 4200 (First piece of hardware I bought and installed myself)
Radeon 9700 NP (First Item I bought on hardforums, Sold it dirt cheap to friend)
Radeon 9800 Pro (Vantec Iceberg Pro 4, Had to make it look awesome for first Lan Party)
Geforce 7800 GT (Accelero x1, First time I couldn't stand stock heatsink noise)
Radeon HD4830 (Died after 4 months, Asus sent 4850)
Radeon HD4850 (Accelero S1 Rev.2)

From my main computers:

3DFX Voodoo Banshee PCI
S3 Savage4 8MB AGP
Nvidia TNT2 Ultra 16MB AGP
Nvidia Geforce 256 32MB AGP
Nvidia Geforce2 Ultra 64MB AGP
ATI Radeon 8500 64MB AGP
ATI FireGL X1 128MB AGP (same as 9700 Pro)
ATI Radeon X800XT-PE 256MB AGP
Nvidia Geforce 8800GT 512MB PCI-E
ATI Radeon 4850 512MB PCI-E
ATI Radeon 4850 512MB PCI-E (2nd card for Crossfire)

Though my first graphics card upgrade came about 5 years before the banshee, upgrading the monochrome videocard in an old 286 to a CGA videocard to play a game on 5 1/4 floppies that had color.

wow this hurts the brain to remember....

Unknown 8mb PCI in pentium 1 machine

Geforce 2mx 32mb in Pentium 3 machine
voodoo 3 3000 16mb in same rig

Radeon 9000 in AMD for almost 4 years?
Upgraded to 7600GS

8800 gts 320 X2 SLI in q6600
upgraded to 8800gtx

large gaps in tech huh??!?!?

now 8800gtx in Core i7

Geforce MX 2 64mb
Radeon 9800SE softmodded to Pro
Geforce 6610XL overclocked to GT
Geforce 7900GS
Geforce GTX 260

I think there's a good chance that my next card will be a Radeon 5870 but I'll be waiting to see benchmarks of both ATI and nVidia's DX11 cards first.

Cirus logic something (1mb memory, VL local bus) - 486 DX2 66
Voodoo 3 2000 - AMD something 466
Geforce 2 200MX - Radeon 900
Geforce 3 - same Radeon
Geforce 4Ti 4200 - P4 northwood 2.4 @ 3.2
Quadro something (equivalent of Geforce 5800) that I borrowed - same P4
Geforce 6800GT - same P4
Geforce 7900GTO - core 2 [email protected]
Geforce 8800GT - core 2 [email protected]
Geforce 260GTX 216 - same Q6600

Can't say I had a bad card - even that quadro (5800 equivalent) - it was free, silent (quadro's got much better coolers then geforces) and a big step up on my Geforce 4.

There is an ATI Rage Pro in there I can't place, and I briefly used a Voodoo 3 which sucked compaired to my Geforce card at the time.

Can't run my 2 GTX260's (listed in my Sig) in SLI cause of my intel chipset, but that's OK 'cause 1 is enough for 1680x1050, and I use the second for physx and both fold for the horde rather nicely

hmm think it went like this:

Radeon 7000 AGP
Geforce FX5200 AGP
Geforce 6600 AGP
Ati X800xl pcie
Geforce 7900gs pcie
Radeon x1950xt pcie
current: HD3850 pcie

these are always cool

mine went

ATi Rage Pro
Nvidia Vanta LT
Radeon 7500
Nvidia PCX-5300
Radeon 9700 Pro
Radeon X800xl
Radeon HD3870
Nvidia 8600gt
Radeon HD4830

I remember Canopus, my first real 3d (Open GL) card with 6mb ram instead of the usual 4. Quake never looked so good. The striking difference!

Ran a few comparisons between a Rendition Verite 2100 (1997) and Radeon 4890. the 4890 is 680 times more powerful in Texture fillrate! Astounding! 17 times faster clock, 1088 times the Z-fillrate, 250 times the memory, 155 times more memory bandwidth........and on and on.

All this in just 12 years. Ridiculous!
