I have a Compaq SR1000Z withe Athlon XP3200+, MB A7V8X-LA, I switch from PC2700 to PC3200 because even though I spent an extra 30$ on the XP3200 (400MHZfsb) over the XP3000(333MHZfsb) they still sent me PC2700. So after I went ahead and sold the PC2700 and now have PC3200, the computer won't recongnize that I have PC2700. The motherboard isn't listed on Compaq's site, the bios don't give the option to mess with the memory, it list the memory as PC2700 but you can't click on it. The VIA KM400A chipset is suppose to support 400mhz FSB, but I guess Compaq decided to cheat it's customers. Any suggestions on getting it to recognize?
