I have a E6420, GSkill DDR800 2x1gb, Abit IP35

have set as:

400*8 1.25 divider (3200 cpu/960ram),5-5-5-15 timings
vcore: 1.45 (1.39 under load/65c max temp, stock cooler, prime stable)
memory: 2.2v
'vtt: 1.2375
ich: 1.55
mch: 1.28
cpu gtlref: 63%

what are the "acceptable" ranges for the VTT/ICH/MCH voltages? I can do 3.4ghz stable / 850 ram with a vcore of 1.55 (1.49 load) but it's crawling past 70c so I went back down to 3200

I'd only push the MCH +0.2v past stock. The max for the CPU is 1.55v according to Intel, while keeping the load temps below 60°C.

so say if you wanted 450-500fsb what ranges would these voltages need to be in generally?

I don't want to just start cranking board voltages

Check the OC'ing database to get an idea of what voltage range you'll be looking at. Just keep in mind that all chips are different, and your results will vary.

You're not hitting 450-500 FSB with a stock cooler and that chip without dropping multiplier, and there is absolutely no reason to /ever/ drop multiplier.
