Added 2nd hdd, wont show up

Just today i purchased a WD1200JB hard drive (ATA), to add to my system which already had a WD800JB that has the OS and everything on it. I decided to put the drives in master/slave so i would only use one IDE port on my mobo. I put it in, connected it, made sure the jumpers on both drives were set correctly, and booted up. Windows notified me that it recognized the new hardware, but going in to My Computer, there was no other hard drive. Can anyone help me get this thing going? Any help is much appreciated

right click my computer
manage
storage
disk managment

see if it's there, you'll need to format a partition it before it will show under my computer

EDIT: nevermind, i found out how to create the partition, thanks a lot for helping me, im now 120GB richer!
