I have a stable overclock in my current system. I just purchased an 8800GTS to replace the 8600 vid card (which will now go in the computer I'll be building for dear old Mom :heart
. Obviously, I want to install the new card. I also have a sound card that's been kicking around for about 6 months that I've never installed. I'd like to install this, too.
My question is this: should I reset my BIOS to its defaults, then install the cards, then redo the overclock? Or ought I to be able to plug in the parts and carry on?
System specs are in my sig. I'm about at a 3.1 in my overclock.
