adding text over a slice

hi, im not sure if this is the right place for this or not but here goes..

Im working on a site and im not completely new to webdesign I've made other more basic pages but i seem to be stumped..

I created a template in photoshop and added slices where i want text and all that. I exported it as html and opened it in dreamweaver and cant seem to figure out how to put text into the slices without losing the image in the slice.

its probably something simple... but here I am

can you post the code? or perhaps post the files on a public server for us to see?

Set the image as the cell background and then insert the text over the background image.

You might need to do some extra coding to keep the cell in the intended size of the slice.

More information on the program being used and the file would be helpful.

Thanks for the replies.. heres everything in a zip..

What im trying to do is have text over image number 13_27 which is a slice. I dont want the text to be an image, i want it to be actual text.

If you open the index file in dreamweaver and start typing in the slice, the 13_27 image goes away.

If you in photoshop you open the psd, and you right click the slice and say that you want text the image also goes away..
