Advice needed on pairing a 8800GT with a E6300.

Hi im planning on buying the 8800gt and installing it with my e6300 that's OC'd till 3.0 Ghz. Do you think my GPU will be limited by my e6300 in anyway? Thanks

Absolutely not.

You could run the E6300 at stock speeds and it still wouldn't be a limiting factor for the GPU.
 
I agree - processor is more than enough.

If you were running a single core under 2ghz - I could see some complication =/
 
processor is enough if you running it to 3Ghz or more.
you know the bottle neck is in the processor VERY HIGH.
 
If it makes you feel better I was running a E6300 with an 8800gts for awhile and it gave pretty decent results with the cpu being clocked at 2.6ghz.
 
You won't bottleneck it even at stock speeds if you're running upwards of 1280x1024 or 1440x900 widescreen. With the 8800gt, you will be running resolutions higher than those!
 
Ok thanks for the replies but take a look at this guy he has an AMD 6000+ and 8800GT sli setup. Ppl are telling him he has a bottleneck (correct me if im wrong but isn't the 6000+ one of amd's best offering?) Still think the e6300 is up to the job?
