I've got an ATI 4850 with the original single slot cooler. It's starting to get louder, I was wondering what's outh there that might be quieter, but I'd also like it if the new fan plugged into the old fan header.
 
Cheapest solution would be to add a 80mm fan on top of the original heatsink and disconnect the stock fan.

Or you can go buy AC GPU cooler for $30 as it will take care of the fan noise that behave with temperature.
