When I was using Firefox 3, I had an amazing addon called Image Zoom that let me resize images at the click of a button which I used to resize images to fit my browser window.

However, I'm using Firefox 3.5b4 and it's not compatible and I was wondering if anyone knew of an alternative.

3.5 is a lot faster but incompatibility with that addon is almost a dealbreaker for me.

Ctrl+Mouse wheel but its not really a click nor does it resize to your browser like that.

Isn't the default to resize though?

Ah, I love ImageZoom too. Lots of plugins work just fine in newer versions of Firefox, but just aren't marked as compatable. Try this trick.

1. Go to ImageZoom's download page
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/139

2. Right-click and save the .xpi file

3. Open the .xpi file with WinZip, WinRar, or whatever zip utility you use. Extract a file called install.rdf

4. Open install.rdf in notepad. Search for "maxVersion". It should have a value of 3.04b or something. Change it to whatever you like (Say, 6.0 or something).

5. Add the install.rdf file back into the .xpi file.

6. Drag-and-drop the .xpi file onto an open Firefox window. It should prompt you to install the plugin. Enjoy.
