Depends what you want to use it for. I've heard winmx and soulseek are both good.

If you want complete albums, go BitTorrent, if you want individual songs, soulseek or shareaza, if you want beta releases or any other software go Overnet/edonkey. Just don't download unless its legal for you, e.g. cd is scratched up or something, or your cd player doesn't work and you want a mp3 version of the song on the computer.
