Since Amazon is giving away an Android app a day I figure we might as well have a thread for it. I'll try to keep it updated, although I'm sure I'll forget once or twice.

The email just lets you download the Amazon AppStore to your phone. In order to get the game you have to go into the app store on your phone.

Turn on airplane mode, then turn on wifi, then go to the market and then you can download the Amazon market. I've got a captivate - or I think you can also just nab the .apk file if you're rooted.

AT&T is working with Amazon to get the app store on their phones.

I need to check out the Amazon daily deal more often. I bet I've missed out on some good ones.

Never got any response so I thought I'd let the app die. There've been several good apps the past few days though, although I skipped out on today's "Calorie counter" app.

For free it's always worth checking out. Half the time I get it and just don't install it if I don't think I'll use it.
