A win for FSR in mobile/handheld gaming even as the DLSS threat in this space heats up.

The details come from @Tech_Reve who states that AMD, Samsung & Qualcomm have decided to jointly work on the FSR to compete against NVIDIA's DLSS. and Apple's MetalFX upscaling tech. The information suggests that the technology will be incorporated by future smartphones since AMD's laptops and desktops already utilize FSR technologies so it would make sense that Samsung and Qualcomm will work with AMD to utilize it for future smartphones.

If Nvidia manages to pull this off, then the nascent handheld gaming market, dominated by AMD, could see stiff competition.

Incentive for nvidia is to get technologies such as DLSS 3.5 into the handheld gaming market

Arm Mali already has the Vulkan upscaler which is poorly supported across the mobile space and the ARM SuperResolution tech developed alongside IVT which works remarkably well and has dedicated accelerators built into the v8 and v9 platforms.
Would be neat to see how it compares to the Apple upscaler which does a great job really.
