I just built a system, and for some reason in the ATI control panel under SmartGart it says my AGP Acceleration is "Off". AGP is enabled in the bios. Here are the specs:

Chaintech 7KJD
Athlon 1700+
512MB PC2100 memory
ATI 9700 Pro
Omega 3.10 driver
Windows 2000 Service Pack 4

Here's the score: 10582
Does that seem right? Is Smartgart wrong?
Thanks.

LOL yep the board drivers aren't there. 13000+ isn't out of the range of that system at all if the chip and 9700 overclock moderately well

Install your motherboard drivers.

It has an AMD 761 Northbridge, and a Via southbridge. I have installed the latest Via Hyperion drivers, I guess there are a couple of AMD drivers I'm missing, huh?

Use 3dMark2001 SE, you'll get a good sized boost in points probably. When I went from 1st to 2nd edition, I got an extra 1k :)

Bah. I went to AMD's website, got the Win2k AGP patch, installed it, rebooted, and Smartgart still says AGP acceleration is off. I set it to 4x, it tells me I need to reboot, I do so, but when it comes back up it still says AGP is off. I don't understand. Anybody? Please?
