Another rate my computer before i buy

Hi this is for my friend, the goal of this is to be able to game with the best quality of graphic and FPS he can. He is downloading alot of things also thats why 250gb is good for him.
the game he prefers is day of defeat source. He already have a 19in lcd. His budjet is 2000$ All stuff is bought in canada because brokerage fees are too high.

Well thats what i supposed buti wanted my friend to read this so he knows im not bulshitting on the fact that 2gb is definitly not overkill.

another thing. because this boy doesnt know anything about computer, ive chose that it wont be a good idea to overclock it. a 3800 venice could go around 2.6ghz easily with that motherboard and ram, but i dont really trust the power supply for overclocking, and we are on a pretty tight budget so the performance boost from 2.4 to 2.6 isnt worth spending extra on heatsink and time on the phn trying to help my friend on how clear cmos ehhehe.

do you guys think 2.4ghz is bottlenecking this x1900XT?

I am maybe thinking to purchase an x1800XT on ebay for around 500-550$, it means it would be 150-200$ cheaper then a x1900XT. because he wont be playing at 1600x1200 res, i think a x1800XT would be good to perform at 1280x1024 with AA and AF stuff enabled.

what do you think?
