So yeah, I'm upgrading/rebuilding my PC as a graduation present from the parents. I have the parts picked out, and I'm pretty sure there aren't any compatibility issues or anything, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions/warnings about the parts I'm buying.

Pentium D 805 (Normally I'm an AMD guy, but I just couldn't resist after reading all the articles about OCing this thing. And it's cheap as hell!)
Gigabyte GA-81945PL-G
pqi POWER Series DDR2 (1Gb x 2)
Sapphire Radeon X1800XT
Antec SmartPower 2.0 500W PSU
Scythe Katana SCKTN-755

The only thing I'm wondering about is the PSU. I know it can handle the processor, but I'm not sure about the video card.

Thanks!

The PSU will be fine. Good luck with the processor! I hope you have success with it. :D

Don't forget about what HDD you're going to use. If you're using an old HDD it's gonna bottleneck yer system. (even though most of the time it's the bottleneck anyway)
