So. Will there be anything in the 200$ or so range coming soon?
 
No one really knows for sure yet. There are rumors of a 2210WA as a replacement, and a 24" IPS from Dell also that's possibly coming, but as far as I know nothing has really been confirmed yet. From what I've read we'll probably know in a week or two.

It'll probably sell for over $300 though.
 
How do the older S-IPS panels stand (like the dell ultrasharp 20")? Are they still decent?
 
Sure, but you're talking lower resolution with that size of display.

You're not gonna get 1900* rez. Also your connectivity options may be limited. No HDMI or Displayport, etc.
