I've got a home automation system (Ubnt mFi) that is currently sitting at ~800GB on a 1TB SSD, and growing. I don't really want to move the DB to a spinner and don't want to fork over the cash to RAID a group of SSDs, but don't want to lose my historical data either.
Idealy mongo would provide a method to auto archive old data files to another drive, or storage pool, but this functionality doesn't seem to exist?
I could move files manually and sym link, but meh, PITA.
Any other suggestions, or something my Google-Fu missed?
(Ubuntu 14.04/mongodb 2.4.9)
