A 1Gb stick of UTT RAM, it this something that's technically impossible or is there a chance it could be made sometime soon?

It's technically possible with doublestacking the chips, but then heat would be too insurmountable to allow these to be used (if they could be double stacked). They're density really only leaves them to be used in <513MB realm.

There are some products coming out (eventually, nothing particularly soon) that should tickle your fancy if you like TCCD (the chips in 1GB modules don't particularly like low timings but some do in fact accept high speeds quite well...5B -D for one and CE-6 for another). BE-5 likes slightly lower timings (2.5-3-2) but I have yet to see a stick hit 260.

Whoa the CE-5 must be some sweet stuff if that CE-6 is pushing 270+ on that one guy's Patriot LL.

Don't get it twisted, people who get >240 on a CE-6 stick are very lucky....
