I went ahead and compressed the entire drive on my 128GB Surface Pro after reading some performance reviews on compressing SSD volumes to gain a little disk space. Surprisingly, it really doesn't impact performance at all and actually makes some apps load faster. I now have 90GB free space on the drive, full Office 2010 installed, HP Tuners with numerous tune files and logs, etc... I think it's something that works out well for me. (I would not do it on a gaming system, but it just seems to make sense with the SP.)
