Aquos LCD as monitor blink problem?

Just replaced my Panasonic Viera HDTV I was using as a monitor with a Sharp and while the picture is great, the Sharp "blinks" (like when you change video modes) real quick every few seconds, every one or two minutes.

HDMI cable (through DVI adapter) is snug. Any ideas?

nvm. side hdmi input seems to be wonky. used back input and no blinky.
