I'm gonna watercool this thing. I've got all the blocks and the raddy, just want to get one of those Swiftech integrated pump-res units. But they are DC, so I will wait for the PSU upgrade. ;)

The bay res combo wont fit really well because the tubing will have too sharp of a bend.

Oh man... I already placed an order for a Qpack and I own a Plextor 716A, which measures 170mm depth.

I'm planning to use the stock PSU, will it fit?

where else I can get a connector like that?
Does Fry's have those? Or some other online stores that have cheaper shipping?

Thanks.

Yes it will fit fine, 170mm is the shortest drive length you can get, and the stock PSU is short too.

I have a 190mm Pioneer drive and an Antec NeoPower480 full size PSU and it still fits (just, feeding the cables through the gap is a tight squeeze).

Well, haha, after deciding on the OCZ modstream, I came to realize that it is 160mm in depth! (not your typical 150mm)

Gives me under 20mm for the gap between my Plextor(170mm as mentioned) and the end of the modstream.

Fingers crossed that it will fit. I'll get some pictures of the result when the PSU gets to me.

Well, here are some pictures I took *during* my re-assembling of my sff box. My PSU and my audigy2zs came today. Had to rip out the old PSU (q-pack default) to put in the new one and had to redo all the cable management. While I was at it I thought some of you might want some pictures of the Modstream (160mm PSU) in the Q-Pack w/ a Plextor 716A(170mm optical). Ran out of battery after these shots. quality bites.

The Dongle that I made:

the modular ports all avoided the optical drive and can be easily plugged and unplugged with optical drive mounted!

The gap between the PSU and the optical drive:

the molex dongle in place:

and the whole top view:

The Audigy2 ZS platinum came w/ a front bay drive thing, which took up the whole 5.25" bay to hide cable... leaving me w/ only the space of the floppy drive to hide all the cables.

The cables on the OCZ PSU are TOUGH to bend. Although, their rubbery shell makes it good if you want to snugly tuck it somewhere.( it won't budge given its rubbery friction skin and the tension from the ridgidness) On a side note, the 20+4 connector was... a metal twig... I had to wrestle w/ it to make it plug into the motherboard.

In the end, I did manage to clean up the mess pretty well. I'll try to get some pix to put in the gallery later when my camera is charged.
