Guys,
I am fixing my friend's laptop.

Problem: image is tiled across the screen and flickering.

I tested the laptop with an external monitor and it's perfect, so I went ahead and ordered a new LCD. I installed it and the problem persists.

What are your suggestions?

I doubt it's the inverter. I really hope this can be solved without trashing the lappy.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Did the new LCD come with a replacement cable? I worked on an older ASUS laptop with flickery red pixelation problems and it was bad connection of the cable to the LCD panel.

Bad inverter would just give you a blank screen. Bad backlight would give you a dim screen. Bad cable would probably cause issues like what you're describing though. Because it seems like the GPU itself is fine.

I've only had to replace LCD's for being cracked or damaged, never because they were displaying weirdness.
