Currently it's at 255 fsb, 4x htt multi, 1:1 ram, 1.4v. (Opteron 144) I tried 260, 270, 280 FSB, 3x multi, 5:6 ram, 1.4, 1.425,1.45v and it hangs after it detects the drives durring POST. Any ideas whats wrong?

3x multi may be too low. Try going 5x or 6x but keep your LDT/FSB frequency ratio at 3X so that your HTT/FSB * LDT will not exceed 1000.
See if that will work.

Oops, I meant 3x htt multi.

I figured it out, for whatever reason the mobo doesn't like the 5:6 divider, I had to set it to 266mhz which ever divider that is. Now it's booting higher, time to see what it'll do.

Yep, the mem controller on the opties can be finicky. My old 148 would not do 9:10 while my opty 170 will
Have fun..
