ASUS AMD Fushion mini ITX board

Just a quick titbit for small form factor lovers: in our meeting today with Asus, the company revealed that it's designing a mini-ITX board (which will probably be home theatre-orientated) with AMD's first low-power Fusion chip, Ontario.

Frankly, I'm excited. Let's hope it pans out well even if the first chip is low powered.

Yeah, when I read the headline at Bit-Tech I was initially excited too. It had key words like "Asus", "Fusion" and "mITX" in the same sentence! Then I clicked through and realized this was an embedded board, and that Asus wasn't advertising a high end mITX board for the launch of Bulldozer. What will it take to get all the big players to launch mITX boards when a new platform is introduced, instead of a year or two after?

Right, I'm still excited though. The Fusion processes (just noticed that is wrong in the title...oops) are going to be pretty low end at first. I still think it is a cool concept and am excited ASUS is actually making an AMD product at the beginning stages of a CPU's life-cycle for once.
