has anybody out there with the a64 3000+ and the asus k8v motherboard tried an overclock and had good results? Im wondering whether to keep this motherboard, or return it for an ABIT KV8pro in hopes of better results.
The bad thing about both your Asus and the KV8 is that they both don't have AGP/PCI locks, which really constricts overclocking ability. You'd be better off returning the Asus and getting an NForce-based board, since most have working locks.
