Hey all, i just wanted to see what others are getting on this great card. I bought mine a few days ago and i am able to get 550/1150 easy. I havent gone any higher yet, as i wanna break it in first. I have had both cards now, the 6800Ultra and now the X850XT.....and all i can say is we have a new winner! Anyway, i just want to see what people are getting with this card. I have overclocked other ATI cards with great success, and i want to follow suit again with this card. My old 9800pro, i was able to go to 460/400 stable, and used it at those speeds 24/7. BUT, there was alot more programs for it, like flshing and bios editing. Right now, no programs are able to do it as they arent compatable yet.....i tried. I couldnt even get Rage3d to overclock the card because the cards not supported yet. I used the Cats to overclock. Here is my system:

AMD FX-55 @ 3.0
2X512 OCZ Platinum Rev.2 @ 550 1T(2.5-3-3-7)
ATI X850 XT @ 550/1150
DFI Ultra-D @ 275 fsb
X-connect 500watt psu
Audigy 2

Im able to get about 32,000 in 3dmark2001se. Almost 15,000 in 3dmark2003. And 6,500 in 3dmark2005. But, what i really want is for people who have these cards to post there over-clocks. Even the older X800 XT and abouve are welcome.

I have some info, for I am the keeper of the 3DMark05 list.

X850 XT PE

Impaqt-------------6,595----------------559/608
tesfaye------------5,925----------------519/540

I would also like to have your exact score sir.
It seems like you numbers are not the exact figures.

I got 550 core and 570 memory on my old X800XT with ATI silencer 4 and Artic Silver.
It was stable but it still ran too hot and teh benafit wasnt enough for me to risk it so its stock now.

I've clocked my card up to 570/570 on stock cooler. Core is solid just needs more volts to keep from locking-up. Memory is so-so. Doesn't o/c to well. Maybe additional volts would help but I dunno.

I hate you. :p

My X800XTPE OC's for dog shit.

I hope the r520 come out in AGP so I can ditch this expensive pile of dung.

I will, i am going to benchmark my whole system today, going threw all the major tests and recording them for me. So id have no problem posting back some official scores. The nubers i gave are pretty accurate, but they were done quickly to make sure i had a working card. Ive only had the card for about 3 days now. Its awesome. It IS better than my "old" 6800GT that i had flashed to 425/1150. It beats it in almost every test, and that was stock!!! Who knows what kind of lead ill be getting on my old card when ive throughly over-clocked. Look for my numbers alittle later on in the day. Thanks.

Also, does anyone know if the ArticSilencer will work on a X850 XT? I loved it on my 6800GT, and although the stock cooling on X850s is really decent, i still want some AS5 and an Articcoller on it instead. Any know for sure?

You have to get the Artic Silencer Revison 2, or Rev2. Look on their site to make sure you know what to buy.

Dude, my stock XT gets beat by my old 6800UEE in 3dmark03 and that's it. It ties in 3dm05 and wins in every game bench except for D3. In fact it was 20-30FPS faster in MOH:pA than the UEE. I got 20-25FPS with the UEE.

Ooh ooh the 6800s have SM3.0!!! Too bad the UEE couldn't use it at playable FPS in Riddick.

Hey, i did all the v-mods on my old 9800pro, but i havent found any info on the X850 series, you know any where i could get some solid info? Also, are you using a block or are you using a heatsink mod? I was thinking of using my heatsink mod on my 9800pro on my new card..........

How do you find out if you have 1.6ns or 2.0ns memory chips?

Look at one of your memory chips and see what it says as the last 2 digits. For example

kjhsj83420 or kjhsj83416

20 is 2.0ns and 16 is 1.6ns

My buddy got 600/600 on the stock cooler, but it was kinda hot so he backed off to 580/600.

Almost the same here - 610c/620m. But the card is Sapphire GTO2 modded to 850xt. The stock cooler is small, really small :) Good thing the card sits under a 120mm blower in a side of my case, even with that after an hour of gaming temps reach 68-72C. If only Arctic Cooling kits were able to cool memory as well as the core I would go even further with overclock. In open case with another blower directly facing a card I was able to get 640c/630m but in a closed enviroment temps reached 80C and card was unstable. Anyone know of some cooling solutions better then Arctic ?

the thermalright v1 ultra is in the mail for me and most every review has it a solid 4-5c cooler on the core than the arctic. only issue is keeping memory cool it comes with extra pads and heatsinks for the memory... once i get it all installed and up ill post some temps and clocks on my gto2

right now itll run stable at 605/605 but gets too hot (75c after long gaming) hoping the v1 will drop that a solid 10c+

Going to install one of these this week - I should be getting it on Thursday. I'll report back this weekend on how it does...

Those OC numbers look pretty sweet though. If I can hit stock PE speeds I'll be plenty happy...
