So, i have 2 laptops with windows 7 home premium installed. A 2 year old dell that i upgraded and a newly purchased hp that came with it. Both have an odd problem where the audio doesnt seem to "kick in" until a couple seconds after an event that requires audio. I had vista on the dell before i upgraded and all was fine. I thought it may have been a driver problem on the dell, but now the brand new hp has the same problem out of the box.
Audio from music and vids play just fine, its just that i keep missing 1 time audio alerts such as the ones from messenger.
Any help with this annoyance would be appreciated.
