Microsoft is moving to kill Windows Live Mesh (http://news.cnet.com/8301-10805_3-5...es-live-mesh-with-skydrive-in-windows-bundle/) and since I have some spare time right now I am looking at alternatives to implement. I use this on two of my own machines plus three of my parents' to synchronize about 50GB of photos/documents on various subsets of machines.
I don't want my files stored in the cloud for security reasons.
What are some good tools/approaches? Should I just run e.g. FreeFileSync manually? (Doing this over the Internet may be a challenge without a VPN). What do you use for Internet-capable transparent automatic file synchronization on Windows?
