AZ RIGG Q3 LAN Party Sept. 26th. Intel Fab 32

What, what? A lan in the valley? Where do I sign up? Is it just on the e-vite? Could I ask more stupid questions?

Ask away. I like the evite thing just so I get notifications of people signing up, as well as letting others know if they have friends that are already attending. If your looking into the LAN scene, the LANCAMP group puts on Desertbash each year. You just missed this one though.

Oh, pardon my ignorance but I though this was the desertbash series of lans. Is this open to the "general" public? Now that I am looking at the e-vite, it seems like 48 people would be a great crowd. And it is free, that is amazing. Any sponsors? Sorry about all the lame questions, I haven't been to a LAN bigger than 10 friends of mine and computers scattered around the house for a while, been looking to get back into the scene and shake off some of this domestication.

So,I put these lans on for work. We get permission to run 4 of them a year. Unfortunately, if I only invited work people, I would have about 5 people show. I am part of the LANCAMP group and these guys work hard on getting the Deserbash put together. They help raise money that Intel doubles and gives to charity. I invite the LC group, the CGAA group, and a couple other forums as well just to get heads in there. The biggest one I have had so far has been about 35 people. The room can handle a fair amount of people. I have the option to goto 73 people, but I don't have enough electricity to do it.

The only sponsor I have so far is CPU magazine. I have to follow certain guidelines on sponsors and how much they can sponsor with since the LAN is part of my job (sorta).

It is open to the public. I ask that your at least 16 to attend. I am not a babysitter service. If you cause trouble I have no issues on having security escort you to chandler police. That is what they get paid to do. I run a very open LAN. We have fun, and get to know each other better.

So, the 27th is my birthday. A milestone birthday at that. This would probably be a good present to myself. That and a nice new gfx card but we can all wish right? I assume this is bring your own box and all that good jazz, what else would one bring to this to fit in? And any and all games is a pretty broad spectrum. I assume TF2, CS, things like that?

Last time we played a little L4D, some UT3, and some starcraft.

Time before it was ALL L4D

I am setup to server L4D, CoD4, FEAR (kinda), TF2, CS, CS:S, and some other I can't think of. The server I use isn't mine. That is provided by the company. However I have another one I am working on but may not use due to size and noise.

I have L4D, TF2, CS, CS:S, and some other odd stuff. Looks like I need to pick up CoD4, and possibly UT3? My wife will love the word "need" that I will throw in when I am talking about this lan. Return to this lifestyle is so expensive...

I was at the Feb one. It was indeed all L4D. I jumped into the CoD4 game for like....15 min.

I have a buddy that just moved to town. He lives in queen creek somewhere by the Intel place. I'm going to see if he can make it. I'll have to get him away from the MMORPGs first.

lol, and the 27th is my birthday but I had to use this weekend for my party going to Prescott :( I REALLY wanted to go to this too but it was the only weekend to get the guys together and get out of town. Now only if they all liked to game...

Network is up and running. Internet is up as well.

Hope to see you guys tomorrow!

Good morning from the LAN. Get here around 10am for setup. Hope to see you soon.

I missed it so I could go celebrate my 30th in Prescott. Please tell me it sucked and that it was a good thing I passed. Otherwise, let me know when the next one is here because I don't want miss this kind of thing twice. Anybody up for a Windows 7 Party/LAN?

Where might that be? I also had to go to San diego for my 18th last weekend. :(

About 25 people. I had some initial server problems. It was pretty good. Done better in the past though.
