Banias vs Dothan

Which one is better? I mean it looks like the Dothan should be better cause it has 2 MB of L2 cache vs 1 MB on the banias, plus the Dothan is done a 90 nm vs the 130 nm of the banias...yet for some reason newegg has the Dothan 1.7ghz for almost half the price of the banias!! I was looking at getting a 1.7ghz laptop and I would like to know which one performs better.
