basic questions

i need some guidence as to where i need to look next. i have fedora 3 kernal installed on my server and i have it fully updated. (dont ask how i got it updated). what i need to know is where cani go to find out all the basic and more advanced features of linux. what i need linus to do is serve files on my network. i wont need security logins or any sort of verification yet. i also need to know how i navigate my files server side once the server is setup. hope it makes sense.

It all depends on how you want to serve files.

Samba for serving to Windows computers or a mixture of windows and *nix

NFS for serving to *nix computers.

Look on the Fedora forums to learn how to set it up for your distro.
