Best 22" monitor for under $350?

Is there any certain monitor in the $300-$350 range I should be looking at in particular?

Would like to keep the cost down as much as possible, but still get a quality monitor for gaming.

Yup. Plus, Samsung offers 3 year warranty on their LCD as oppose to 1 year like Gateway. If I were to get a 22", The Samsungs would be at the top of my list.
