phobium said:XP-120 doesn't even do a better job than the XP-90. No point in cluttering your case with that monstrosity. That is why I went from that to the 90.
those are indeed great coolers.CCUABIDExORxDIE said:but the added bonus of using an xp120, it cools your ram and it allows for the use of a quieter fan. also, the Scythe Ninja, Scythe Shogun, TT Sonic Tower, TT Big Typhoon and the xp90C are all great coolers.

I also wanted to add the Thermalright HR-01 (high-rise 01)to this list, which is thermalrights passive cooling solution. I contacted them, and they said it should be 1-3C cooler than the XP-120, if setup correctly with 120mm fan. And there are no known compatability issues with any motherboards, atm.
right that made my mind up right there. *orders freezer 64 pro for opteron 144*cosmo3 said:I just replaced a XP120 with a 1600 rpm fan with the Freezer 64 Pro today and it's really nice. It uses the stock retainer and takes up less room in my case and the temps are 3 to 4 C cooler than the XP120 was whick really supprized me. I am overclocking a Opteron and is nice and cool 34 under light load after being on all day and this is on a Abit board which usually reads higher than say Asus boards by about 8 to 10C .

maybe a zalman?
MC FLMJIG said:xp 90 is very good
Xp or SI 120 is even better... probably best air coolers but pricey + u have to buy fan.
Zalmans are very good and a close second.
Everything else I wouldn't even bother with, though...
