Since it looks to be the better overall upgrade path, I've begun looking at P35 boards.

I had been looking at the P5K, I wasn't sure about which P35 board would be the best for going to about 3ghz or so (nothing crazy oc-wise) with either an E6600 or Q6600 board + Ultra120Ultra Extreme HSF.

Also in the mix:

2gb crucial ballistix PC8500
Radeon X1900XT
Antec 900 case
NEC 3540 DVD
Seagate 160gb SATA HDD-boot
Seagate 320gb SATA-storage

Suggestions? Thanks.

Well to get 3.0Ghz on a E6600 would require a 334 FSB. That can be done on any board with no problem. You wont even need the Ultra 120 to get th at. Stock will handle it just fine.

I would go get the Asus or Gigabyte. They both seem to be great boards.

Have to throw in the Abit IP35 Pro into consideration also. (It has been a great board so far...). It allowed me to take an E6400 that I could only get to 8x 375 stable on my MSI P6N Plat to 8x 390 stable! (and can boot over 8x400 where I could not before, even up to 7x410+). It's been real easy to work with.
