BF2 Disconnects

My old roommate and I decided to play some BF2 last night. It was our first time in over a year. We kept getting random disconnects in game, between maps, and even while viewing the server list. Any suggestions what is wrong? We are not on the same isp, since we live on different sides of the country now.

i was getting disconnected last night also. it's the EA master servers. the 2142 forums are on fire from people getting disconnects. not sure if it's having the same problem today. going to log in and find out now.

I was getting disconnected last night in Guild Wars also....what a coincidence.

I get disconnected every 1-5 minutes on BF2 if I don't have the AMD drivers installed... maybe try installing them assuming it's not EA's servers taking a crap?
