BF2 Telling me i can't use X-Fi settings... even though I have an X-Fi

So I just installed the BF2 demo, and went to audio to select "X-Fi"...

Then when i hit apply it tells me I dont' have hardware that supports that option... I have an X-Fi XtremeMusic w/ the latest drivers..

what gives?

im not sure that the X-fi is supported in the demo. I know it works in the retail as i use it. however since i dont have x-ram it seems just putting it on hardware/high sounds better.

it's probably because you have your XFi in either music mode or theater mode. Go to your control panel and switch to game mode if it isn't on. I had the same problem.

Apparently it IS supported in the demo.
