Bioshock min fps benchmarks?

I've looked around but can't find any benchmarks that include min fps as a stat which boggles the mind. Does anyone else feel this is the most important stat in a benchmark? I don't care if my hardware is pulling 120fps most of the time if it still drops to 40-45 in some places..

The reason I ask is, I've been wondering for a while whether or not there's something wrong with my setup or not. At 1920x1200 full details + dx10 shaders the game would drop to 35fps in some places...So I hooked up an old CRT and played the same spot at 1024x768 and only gained 15fps bringing me to 50fps at the exact same part...is there something "bottlenecking" my system? Surely going from 1920x1200 to 1024x768 should bring about a larger gain in min fps than 15 no? I see people with significantly lesser hardware claiming pretty extravagant performance numbers in Bioshock which is only compounding my displeasure. Fresh install of windows incase there's any question about background apps. Vsync is off. Am I just expecting too much from this hardware on a newer generation game?

Specs:
Q6600 G0@Stock with Tuniq Tower 120
EVGA 8800 Ultra w/163.67 betas released today
4GB OCZ Platinum @ 5-4-4-15
Seagate Barracuda 500gb SATA
Vista x86 Ultimate

I just bought this PC a month ago but the minfps numbers are making me wonder if something is abnormal...

Thanks :)

your FPS issue is more then likely a vista issue. HAve you installed all the latest VISTA patches? In XP PRO with just 1 8800GTS 640 @ 615/1950 my BIOSHOCK game play was FLAWLESS! with maximun settings enabled @ 1440x900 res. These new BETA drivers 163.67 are my best friend!! Hell, the older betas 163.44 were nice, but these are better.
