My Specs:
E6600 @ 3.4ghz
2GB DDR2-800
7800GT (with beta drivers)
Creative X-Fi
Vista x64

The max playable setting for me (30-40 fps) are 1440x900 quality set to medium. Is this normal? I was hoping to do 1680x1050 but its just too choppy (15-20 fps). Any way to improve this beyond buying a new video card?

I installed the beta driver. Please read the OP before you reply.

I should definitely be getting better frames... whats the deal? I've got nothing else running in the background.

Maybe he is running in XP and you are Vista?

Dunno

A 7800 GT with a oc(470,1150) can run the game maxxed @ 16x10 on my wifes comp with NO aa or AF

(to bad the FOV is fucked up,idiots....)

just on this first page, there's a guy with a 7800gt @1600x1200

and there's a nvidia beta driver that supposedly improves preformance in bipshock

please search for like 10 seconds before you make a thread again

I'm that guy. The game dips into the 20s at 16x12-still perfectly playable, but a little low for my preference. It runs marvelously at 1280x1024, though.
